Procedure Writing!!  

Martin the Alien has arrived on Earth and he wants to know how to make a Healthy Hamburger. Here is a procedure, using the correct structure and language, to instruct Martin on how to make my favourite healthy hamburger.

Title: cheese bungle

Ingredients/Materials:

bun

cheese

lettuce

cucumber

tomato sauce

meat patty

Method:

1. Cook the patty.

2. Cut the buns.

3. Get the tomato sauce and squeeze it on the buns.

4.Get the patty and put it on the bun.

5. Cut the cheese and cucumber.

6. Put the cheese and the cucumbers onto the patty.

6.Put the lettuce and the top bun on top.

PENGUINS

Penguins are birds which can’t fly.

Appearance

Penguins have black and white feathers. They have short legs and webbed feet. Their body is covered in feathers.

Reproduction:

Penguins lay 1 or 2 eggs. They lay their eggs in burrows or nests. The parents take turns keeping the egg warm.

Diet

Penguins eat fish, krill and squid. they eat during the day.

Habitat

Penguins live in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.

Penguins are under threat because of global warming.

Science Experiment

My group did the hovercraft for the Science Fair. We found out that shape of the balloon and the size of the balloon affects how long it hovers for.

My Holiday

I jumped out of bed like a kangaroo and I shouted, “yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa yaaaaaaaaaaay.” I raced down the stairs. I got ready, had breakfast and we raced into the car.  We raced

to Auckland. When we were there I met Cery, a girl could Takutai, Jena, Aimee’s little sister and her little brother. Then we went on the bus to the shops to buy some lollies and some donuts.

The next day we went on the train all the way to a hospital to see another baby. We stayed at the hospital for 5 hours. Then we went to Takutai’s dads home. Then we went back home and we had a sleep. After that we did some work and then we went to the wave pools. They had a slide and big waves. We jumped into the pools and we went on the slide. I slid down the slide. I had fun. I love Auckland.  I hope I can go back in the next holidays.

It starts to get cold.

The leaves fall off the trees, leaving them looking like statues with lots of arms.

It starts to get really wet in autumn.

The leaves move like bugs exploring the ground.  

Leaves  flutter  down  like butterflies.

My First Narrative

Once my crew and I were living on a grassy

island with a lot of trees and apples. We had swords and a ship. Some days we went out on the ship to go fishing. We were rich and happy. But one day pirates come to our island. The captain shouted “we are taking all your gold.” We said “no, we will fight for the gold.” The pirates said, “ok.”

My crew kicked and punch their heads and  

won the fight. The pirates left and our gold was safe. Lukas, Ryan, Michael and I danced and danced until it was time to go to bed.

In the morning I made breakfast for the crew. It was a cold morning so it was apples around the campfire. After that we went and chopped down some trees to make a home. It took all day. Our home was cool and there we stayed.

Marshmallows

Once upon a time in the woods there was a boy camping Close by, in the small lake, lived a horrible green monster.

One night the boy was roasting marshmallows on the fire. Suddenly he heard a noise. There behind him was the green monster. The monster stared at the marshmallow with his big yellow eyes and licked his lips. The boy took the marshmallow of the stick and then a big tongue slurped the marshmallow up. The monster jumped and danced around happily. he grabbed another shallow  but their was no more the monster got mad

The boy ran to the tent. H saw his pillow sitting there looking like a giant marshmallow. He snatched the pillow up off the ground. The monster's eyes went big because he thought it was a marshmallow. The boy threw it and the monster ran after it!!!!  The boy took off screaming through the forest. The monster put the pillow onto the stick and put it over the fire. The pillow turned to dust. He was really sad. He sat and stared at the moon.

Rally car driver.

The day started. I got ready to go to school. When I got to school I got to go on Reading Eggs. Then the show started. Lindsay the Rally Car Co-driver talked and talked.  She talked about racing rally cars. She has to wear protective clothing. Her car she drives is very light so she can so fast.

Unboxing Day

Chromebook

I jumped up and raced to my mum and slapped her. “I am getting my chrome book today,” I screamed. “Let’s go mum,” I said.  We raced to school.

Finally it was time. We raced into room 2. They handed out the boxes.

Then the countdown started. 10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1.0! BOOM! We ripped the ribbon off, opened the box and looked at our shiny new chrome book. I was so excited.
